tropical paradise with easy beach access and friendly staff

The vibe of the hotel was wonderful with friendly staff, and I loved that the beach was just a short stroll away with its soft black sand and beautiful views. Plus, you can walk to the city center in about 30 minutes along the beach, a lovely experience during the day.

The place was clean and SPECIAL, had absolutely friendly and really excellent staff on the white coral sand beach while sipping a cocktail or a glass of wine brought out to you by the waiter. The location was amazing - an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go.

Our time here was fantastic, especially getting pampered with an amazing massage and enjoying some quiet time by the outdoor swimming pool. The beach access was great for lounging and soaking up the sun, making it hard to leave my lounge chair. Just a heads-up, the breakfast could use a bit more variety, but it didn’t really detract from our overall experience! 🌞

Location: the hotel was next to private beach with own sunbeds and umbrellas and cocktail bar, the ocean right at the property, and restaurants. The a double room I stayed in was relaxing with hammock;))

Fairly clean hotel in a beautiful building near the beautiful playa negra right next to Puerto Viejo, the grounds, and taxi to the town. Unique, good sized room with a private bathroom and a shower, hair dryers and bath sheets. The pool area is nice too. Not to mention free Wi-Fi.

The room had an awful smell from the bathroom drains. Breakfast options were repetitive and got old after a few days. Our room felt outdated despite being expensive. Improvements are definitely needed in many areas.

After an amazing week, I was blown away by the beautiful grounds and delicious food, especially the ginger soy tuna! The welcome drink was a nice touch, and I felt relaxed during my stay. I would definitely go back!

The hotel boasts beautiful gardens and a lovely beachfront area, perfect for relaxation. The staff were attentive. We enjoyed our room with a spacious balcony with a hammock that added to our tropical experience. The food service hours could be improved, as we found it a bit limiting.

The staff's attentiveness, especially Roger and his team, were very good to ensure guest satisfaction. The beautiful location next to the beach provided a perfect spot for relaxation. A few guests displayed rudeness, disappointing, and there were moments when the atmosphere became tense due to their behavior. The food, especially the barbecue options, added to the enjoyable stay, but it's concerning to see any negativity overshadowing the hotel's charm.

The sloth cabin offered a beautiful view, deck space, and a peaceful escape from downtown. I loved the lush landscaping and proximity to the beach, perfect for long walks. The staff was great. The hotel has a good restaurant with delicious food. Happy hour specials provided great drink options at reasonable prices. The suite had some downsides. The internet connection was unreliable, only working in certain spots. The noise from neighboring rooms could be disruptive, especially early in the morning. The room felt a bit dark, and I'd expect a better design for the price. More flexibility with breakfast options would be nice too.

Especially Ronald, provided excellent service. I experienced a minor inconvenience with noise from neighboring rooms, but it didn't outweigh the wonderful ambiance of the hotel.

Unique treehouse accommodations offer very nice views and privacy surrounded by lush jungle, with a welcomed wildlife presence. The beach features inviting black sand, plenty of shaded spots, and well-maintained seating areas.

Breakfast lacks variety with the same three options daily. The rooms show signs of aging, such as outdated decor and unpleasant odors from bathroom drains. The pool area appears small and could benefit from maintenance. Some amenities, like the air conditioning, might not provide the comfort expected for a tropical escape.

Very nice local tours available right on site for hassle-free adventures.

Limited breakfast options for a week-long stay could become monotonous.
